Lambda Consult was founded in the early 1980s as a consulting firm in the field of international assessment studies for groundwater exploration and exploitation. In the mid 1980s the company became also involved in environmental issues and the development and application of novel in-situ ground and groundwater remediation technologies such as Electro-Reclamation (or Electro-Remediation), Electro-Bioremediation and subsurface containment and remediation barriers such as Electrokinetic Fences and Electrokinetic Biofences.

In 1987 Lambda Consult was one of the founding companies and managing partner of Geokinetics BV, the first company in the world which developed and commercialized the technology of Electro-Reclamation and its derivative remediation technologies.

In the United States we have given technical backup to Geokinetics International Inc. from 1995 till 2002. In Japan we have given technical support and training from 2002 till 2005 in the field of in-situ Electro-Remediation to the companies Shimadzu, Asanuma, Fuji Environ and Mirai. During 2008 we supported and trained Showa Denko Corporation in Japan in the same field. In 2008 we have also been involved in a pilot project in Italy for the in-situ removal of elemental mercury from soil and groundwater in cooperation with Saipem S.p.A.

These days Lambda Consult is involved in groundwater assessment studies and groundwater modeling, in-situ ground and groundwater remediation projects, polluted site assessments, feasibility studies, remediation plans, and environmental investigations. In the Netherlands we focus together with A. Hak , Tjaden and Matmuo company from Lithuania, on the development of innovative technologies such as the removal of iron from groundwater, regeneration of water wells by Ultra Sound and shallow thermal energy.
